Obituary
Robert John Stelzle, Sr.,72, of Linden passed
away Tuesday October 20, 2020 after a long battle with
liver cancer.
Born and raised Jersey City, NJ he moved to Linden 46
years ago.
He was a graduate of Ferris High School, Jersey City, NJ
and New York Institute of Technology with a bachelors
Degree in Science.
Mr. Stelzle was a Veteran of the Viet Nam war serving as
a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and was
awarded the Vietnam service medal.
He was employed by the Port Authority Police department
of NY and NJ for over 27 years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Agnes (Mulhall)
Stelzle and his brother George Stelzle.
Surviving is his wife Veronica Stelzle (Korn), his son
Robert John Stelzle, Jr. and his wife Lori, his
granddaughter Ashley, his sister n law Irene Stelzle and
nephew Jay Stelzle.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his funeral
on Saturday October 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St.
Elizabeth's RC Church, Linden. Mass limited to 150
people. (please meet at church). Cremation will be
private. Visiting will be Friday 3-7 PM in the
Pettit-Davis Funeral Home 371 West Milton Ave. Rahway,
NJ 07065. Everyone attending the viewing and Mass are
required to practice social distancing, wear a mask at
all times and adhere to all mandates issued by the CDC.
