Obituary

George R. Jaenicke, Maintenance Unit Supervisor, Holland Tunnel. 

After a series of serious lifelong health issues, that began at the age of 17, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2020 peacefully in his sleep at home. He retired in 1997 after a 34 year career with the Port Authority.

His cremation is private and will be in Staten Island where he was born, raised and lived the majority of his life.

Sadly due to the Corona Virus crisis, services cannot be planned at this time.

He leaves a son Greg of Washington DC, a daughter Lisa in North Carolina and his sister Dottie in Tennessee along with many devoted friends and fishing buddies from Staten Island who adored him and a former coworker who he remained friends with throughout his retirement, Donna Bruno.

May God be holding him in his arms and that he is pain free, finally restored to good health and at peace.
