						Henry “Hank” Esnes of Berkeley Heights, NJ passed 
						away at Overlook Medical Center on May 7, 2020 at the 
						age of 77.
						
						Private funeral services are under the direction of
						
						Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 
						646 Springfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights NJ. A Memorial

						Henry was born in Queens, NY to Mary (nee Bednarik) and 
						Henry B. Esnes and grew up in Orange County, NY. He met 
						and married his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Dinella) in 
						1967 and moved to Berkeley Heights, NJ in 1974 where 
						they raised their family.
						
						Henry was the Director of Communications Operations for 
						New York City Transit Department for 4 years before his 
						retirement in 1996. Prior to that he worked for the Port 
						Authority as Chief Supervisor of Communications for the 
						PATH system. 
						
						He was the 2017 Chairman of audio/video for the Summit 
						Old Guard. An active tennis player at Copper Springs, 
						Murray Hill and Gina’s Tennis Clubs, he also enjoyed 
						golf with his friends at the Summit Old Guard and 
						whenever he traveled.
						
						Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, 
						Marilyn Esnes; his loving children Michael (Jane) Esnes, 
						Brian Esnes and Christopher (Samantha) Esnes; his 
						sisters Kathleen Heitzman and Theresa Esnes Johnson; and 
						his cherished grandchildren, Michael , Connor and 
						Charleston Esnes.
