Obituary
William J. Callahan, Born in Jersey City, NJ, to
Elizabeth and John Callahan.
He was a loving and devoted husband, amazing dad,
grandfather, and great grandfather. He accomplished so
much in his life. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He
was also a mailman, mechanic, and house painter. Then
for 31 years he was a well-respected and dedicated
police officer at Port Authority NY/NJ. In addition to
these accomplishments he was often seen working on his
various projects involving his home in Secaucus, his
cars, or anything else we asked him to do for that
matter. In reality, he was a guy who could fix/build
anything!
Beloved husband of Harriet Callahan; loving father of
Maureen DiDomenico and her husband Joseph, Catherine
Viggiano and her husband Pasquale, Eileen McGovern and
her husband William, and William Callahan and his wife
Margaret; cherished grandfather of Joseph DiDomenico and
his husband Joseph, and William and Michelle DiDomenico,
Christian and Nicholas Viggiano, Cassidy and Ryan
McGovern, and William Callahan,III; adoring great
grandfather of Shane DiDomenico; and dear brother of the
late Margaret and Arthur Callahan. William also leaves
behind his nieces Jane Harnen and Bridget and Patricia
Callahan, and his nephew John Callahan.
