Joseph Byrt January 22, 2020 Obituary Joseph Byrt, Auschwitz and Nazi Death March survivor, died January 22, 2020 at the age of 96. He immigrated to the United States in 1947 and truly lived the American dream. He is survived by his wife Dyan, daughter Erika, her four children Alexis, Andrew, Sam, Lily, and his son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Angela. Services will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 76th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, January 26 at 2pm. Published in New York Times on Jan. 25, 2020
