William (Bill) C. Gibson March 21, 2019 Obituary William (Bill) C. Gibson, 96, of Honolulu, HI passed away on March 21, 2019. Bill, a 1944 graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY was a Navy veteran and retired Far East Director for the Port Authority which he joined in 1963 following an extensive career as Director, Far East for United States Lines domiciled in Tokyo, Japan.
Born in Anaheim, CA, Bill was devoted to the upbringing
and education of his adopted son Naotoshi Gibson and
grandsons Masayuki, Naotomo and Niko. A gentleman and
professional in all respects, Bill was a credit to
himself, U.S. Lines and the Port Authority.
