Born
in Brooklyn, NY, on July 16, 1946 to Peter and Katherine
Tomolonis, Peter grew up in Richmond Hill, Queens. He
began attending Fordham University at the age of 16. He
continued on to Columbia University, pausing to serve
his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Soon thereafter, he met and fell in love with Kathleen.
They married in 1972. Over the next 8 years, they had
three children and Peter began his career at the Port
Authority of NY/NJ, where he worked until 2003.

Peter held a great many titles in his 72 years, the most
notable of which included son, brother, uncle, neighbor,
friend, scholar, veteran, psychologist, 9-11 survivor,
and docent at the 9-11 Memorial. His deepest devotion
went to his title of Dad, and the role he most cherished
						was Kathy's Husband.

To those who knew him, Pete was a dynamic story teller,
a true gentleman, and a kind soul. If you were lucky
