Reverend Father
Kenneth D. Ross, Sr.
Upon his return, he worked & retired from the Port Authority of NY & NJ. Fr. Kenneth was predeceased by his loving wife Marion on December 26, 1978 and found his second calling. He attended the Holy Apostle Seminary in Cromwell, CT and was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Orlando, FL. Most recently, he served at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers. Fr. Ross is survived by his children Kenneth Ross, Jr., Susan Ross Astarita, & James Ross as well as his grandchildren Kenneth III, Simon & Kyle Ross and Salvatore Astarita. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fr. Ken's memory can be made to the Putnam County SPCA.
A Funeral Mass will be
held on Wednesday 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church,
Yonkers with interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery,
Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The family will be present on
Tuesday from 3-7 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732

He
proudly served our country in the 8th Air Force as a
Ball Turret Gunner, before he was shot down on his 9th
mission and was held as a POW. He later received a
purple heart. He also served during the Korean Conflict.
