Obituary

Thomas C. Hendrickson, 81, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 surrounded by his family.

After 37 years, Tom retired from the Port Authority of NY and NJ. He was a veteran of the US Army. Tom was an avid sports fan, NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys being his favorite teams. He was on the Board of Directors for West Shore Little League and enjoyed coaching his two sons in his spare time. Tom enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with is wife, cards with his friends, and scratch offs, but most of all, his favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren.

Thomas was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2016 and his sister Nancy Biggs. He is survived by his beloved children, Michael Hendrickson of Toms River, Edward Hendrickson (Paul) of Parlin, Denise Paar (Tim) of Toms River, and Sharon Monico (Chris) of Matawan. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Amanda, Erica, TJ, Tyler, Jake, Lily and Ava and his sister Janet Hendrickson.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday from 1-3pm & 6-9pm and on Wednesday from 9-10am at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, Toms River. A funeral mass will be offered 10:30am on Wednesday at Saint Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River.
