Obituary

Robert A. Fischer, 67 of Bay Ridge, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Calvary Hospice at Lutheran Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born Thursday, September 7, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Francis Henry and Rosemary Fischer.

He worked as a Police Officer for the Port Authority of New York for 25 years before retiring in 2001. He then went on to work security at LaGuardia Airport.

Robert was a man who always put his family first. He had a heart of gold and was a friend to all he met. He enjoyed family vacations. His favorite destinations included Cancun, Aruba and Manasquan, New Jersey.

In his pastimes, Robert enjoyed watching Fox News and served as director at the Red Hook Medical Center.

Surviving are his brothers Francis(Donna), Joseph(Kathy), his sister Regina Cregon (Michael) and brother in law Bob Gallagher. His nieces and nephews Lori, Hank, Michael, David, Danielle, Darren, Britney, Elizabeth and Robert, and his great niece Sadie and great nephew Charles.

Robert was pre-deceased by his sister Rosemary Gallagher.
