Obituary

Ana L. Brogan, age 56, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 22, 2018 at her parents' home in North Bergen. She was born in Havana, Cuba, grew up in North Bergen and lived in Howell before moving to Pittstown 25 years ago.

She graduated from North Bergen High School and attended night courses at St. Peter's College in Jersey City.

Prior to her retirement she was a Port Authority Police Officer for over 20 years assigned to Newark Airport.

She was a Communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Pittstown.

Throughout her life Ana loved traveling and spending precious time with family and friends. She especially loved caring for her daughter and watching her play travel and high school softball.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Paul Brogan; her daughter, Amanda Brogan; her parents, Juan and Caridad Fernandez; her siblings, Eva Curvino and her husband, John, Angel Fernandez and Teresa Sanchez and her husband, Robert; her nieces and nephews, Emma and Jack Sanchez, Donato Curvino, Kaylie Brogan, Colin Brogan, Nicole England, Bill England, Jennifer Hill, Ed Brogan, Jeff Brogan and Chris Brogan.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 29th from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:00am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am Funeral mass at St. James Church in Basking Ridge. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
