						Obituary

It is with great sorrow that her family announces the
passing of Susan Marie Suros, 65, of Naples. Susan
passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, on
December 31, 2017, after a courageous battle with
						cancer.

Susan was born in Bayonne, NJ on August 23, 1952. She
graduated from Bayonne High School in 1970 and began
working at the Port Authority of NY & NJ, where she met
her husband, Oscar. She graduated from St. Peter's
College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Management and went to work for American Express. Her
most cherished role, however, was being the perfect
mother to her only child, Victoria.

Susan moved to Holmdel, NJ with her husband in 1985,
where they lived for 27 years and made many life long
friends. In 2012, Susan and Oscar moved to Naples, where
Susan was able to enjoy viewing beautiful sunsets,
golfing with the Quarry Ladies Group, serving as a
communicant at St. Agnes, and being an active member of
her book club and bible study group.

Susan had a gift for singing and shared her musical
talent with others as a cantor and choir member at Holy
Family (Union Beach, NJ) and St. Catherine's (Holmdel,
NJ). Susan loved animals and had a special bond with her
cat, Cricket. Susan also enjoyed traveling, having
						visited over 40 countries.
Whether with friends, family, or strangers, Susan
demonstrated kindness and compassion. Susan was
charitable by nature, volunteering for numerous
organizations, including Avow Hospice, PETA, and
Children International. Susan was an incredible mother
and was heavily involved in all aspects and chapters of
her daughter's life, from leading the girl scout troop,
serving on the PTA, beaming with pride at any event her
daughter participated in, and being referred to as a
"second mom" by many of her daughter's friends. Susan
was truly loved by all who had the great fortune of
meeting her and her absence will leave a hole in the
						hearts of many.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and
Dorothy Lupo. She is survived by her loving husband,
Oscar, her daughter and best friend, Victoria, her dear
brother, Andrew (Carolyn), her sister-in-law, Elvira
(Tony), her sister-in-law, Purita, her beloved nephews,
Jonathan (Christina), Ryan (Kelsey), Tony (Ana),
Francisco (Ines), and Renzo (Sandra), as well as many
						valued friends and family members.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from
5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples
Memorial Gardens 525-111th Ave N, Naples, FL. Funeral
Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, January 5, 2018 at

Naples, FL, followed by lunch at The Quarry Golf Lodge.
In addition, services will be held in NJ in the coming
						weeks.
