WALTER
						H. SCHNEIDER, SR. Walter H. Schneider, Sr., 78,
passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

He was the son of Rudolph and Ruth Schneider (nee:
Bair). Mr. Schneider was born in Jersey City and lived
in Bayonne for 52 years. He proudly served the nation as
a member of the United States Army, and was an operating
engineer for the Port Authority of NY/NJ. Mr. Schneider
served as the Cub Master for Saint Vincent de Paul Cub
Scout Pack 25 during the 1980's, and also served on the
Committee for Boy Scouts of America Troop 25 for many
years thereafter. He enjoyed sharing his love of the
outdoors and camping with young people, and was
affectionately called "Uncle Walter" around Bayonne by
former Scouts now in their 30's, 40's and 50's. He was
loved for his tremendous sense of humor, friendliness
						and warmth.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially
family vacations and boating and fishing with his sons
and grandchildren. Mr. Schneider was a loving and
devoted husband and father, and is survived by his
beloved wife of 52 years, Helene Schneider (nee:
Draganchuk); his loving sons, Thomas and his wife,
Janet, and Walter H. Schneider, Jr.; his cherished
grandchildren, Maggie and Tommy; his dear sister, Arlene
Elsasser; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and
Anthony Scelsi; and his nieces and nephew.
