George P. Kriss February 2, 1951 - December 13, 2017 Obituary George P. Kriss, 66, of New Milford passed away on December 13, 2017. He is survived by his loving family, his “BRIDE” of 45 years Loraine (nee Braunstetter), daughters Genevieve and husband Eddy Stelter, Melissa and husband Charlie Schaadt. “Pappy” is survived by his adoring grandchildren: Zachary and Jacqueline Stelter, Olivia, Madison and Jake Schaadt. Also survived by sisters Andrea and husband Bob Vibbert and Bernadine Kavanaugh. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
George had a love affair of old cars, his “HOT ROD ’69 Chevy Nova”, turtles, Snoopy, collection of trains, model cars and trucks. Loved his classic rock bands, The Who, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top. He also enjoyed watching old movies mostly Westerns especially John Wayne films. His favorite actor was Steve McQueen in the movie The Great Escape. Pappy was often found tinkering around with his cars, down in the shop often making his own inventions to fix things or making things.
George affectionately loved his “bride”, children
and grandchildren. George enjoyed spending time with his
family by going to Wildwood every summer and boogie
boarding with his 5 grandchildren. In George’s leisure
time he would enjoy reading fictional and historical
fiction books. He will be sadly missed by all who knew
him and loved him. His love for us will live on in each
one of us.
