						Obituary

						Bishop
William Randolph Jones, Sr. was born on January 31, 1960
to Gertie L. Jones and the late Wallace H. Jones, Sr.,
in Brooklyn, New York. Bishop Jones was known to his
family as “Willie” and to his co-workers and friends as
						“Bill”. He attended public schools P.S. 274, J.H.S. 111,
and graduated from New York School of Printing at which
time he had also became an entrepreneur, forming his own
printing business named, “Operation Enterprise”. He
furthered his education at New York City College of
						Technology in Brooklyn, New York.

At an early age, Willie professed his faith in Jesus
Christ serving in the Deliverance Evangelistic Center,
Inc. under the late Apostle Arturo Skinner and the late
Apostle Ralph Shamar Nichol. While in Deliverance,
Willie served as an usher, choir member, and musician.
He also was in a singing group named, “Five Sons of
						Deliverance”.

Suydam Street off Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn has never
been the same since the “Dempsie Boys” left. That was
the name Willie and his friends gave themselves during
their childhood/teenage years. Suydam Street is also
where Willie met his childhood sweetheart, “Kathleen” in
1972. May 13 1978, Willie and Kathleen were united in
Holy Matrimony. This union was blessed with three boys.

Willie’s first job was with Timely Press, a printing
company until 1979 when he was employed with the Port
Authority of NY/NJ. For a short period of time he worked
a second job at Nero Printing. He held the following
positions with the Port Authority of NY&NJ: top pressmen
in general services; Assistance Supervisor and
Supervisor of Mail and Delivery. Willie retired from the
Port Authority of NY&NJ in September 2015.

In 1993, Willie and his family joined Life Center
Ministries serving as associate Pastor under Apostle R.
						L. Jackson. In 2005, he was led by the Lord to obey his
calling as Founder/Pastor of Victory Faith Deliverance
Center in Paterson, NJ. Bishop William Jones, Sr. loved
ministry. Demonstrating the epitome of God’s love, he
was a caring and kind person who always had an
encouraging word for everyone. He was a great husband,
great father and grandfather, son, brother, friend and
he loved to praise and worship God.

Even though Willie was a Bishop, he believed that it was
still his responsibility to stay involved in serving in
his community – The Bushwick Houses. Willie received
many accolades from working in his Bushwick Community.
He was a member of the “Parking Lot Crew” and Tenant’s
						Association.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife,
Kathleen Jones, his sons Steven Jones and Jeremiah
Jones, mother Gertie L. Jones, brother Maurice Jones,
