						Obituary
						
						Frederick A. Stinner, 75, 
						of Rahway, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 
						7, 2016.
						
						Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the 
						Funeral from the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 
						Raritan Rd., Clark, on Tuesday, July 12 at 10:00 am, 
						thence to St. Agnes Church, Clark, where a Funeral Mass 
						will be offered at 11:00 am. Final Disposition will be 
						private. Visiting hours will be on Monday, from 4 - 8 
						pm.
						
						Mr. Stinner was born in Elizabeth to Frank and Elfrieda 
						(Kipping) Stinner. He proudly served his country in the 
						Navy. He received his BA from Kean University and then 
						was appointed to the FBI National Academy in 1983. He 
						lived in Elizabeth, prior to moving to Rahway 47 years 
						ago.
						
						Mr. Stinner retired in 1997 after 30 years, as a Police 
						Captain with the Port Authority of NY & NJ, most 
						recently serving at The World Trade Center and Newark 
						Airport. He was a member of the PBA of NJ and the Port 
						Authority Retired Association. He was also a Past Grand 
						Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #3240 in 
						Roselle Park, as well as a member of the John Dawson 
						Gilmary Shea Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Elizabeth. 
						Mr. Stinner was a former member of the Board of 
						Education in Rahway and the Rahway Library Board.
						
						Mr. Stinner was the beloved husband for 53 years, of 
						Lorraine (Flammia) Stinner and the devoted father of Dr. 
						Frederick T. Stinner and his wife Eileen and Laurie 
						Opthof and her husband Dr. Gerald Opthof. He was the 
						cherished grandfather of Carly, Erin, Eden and Tatum. He 
						is also survived by his sisters and brother, Elizabeth 
						Quartararo, Walter Stinner and Elaine Stinner.
						
						In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory 
						to St. Jude Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, 
						Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
