Obituary

Ronald J. “ Spike” Spehalski, Sr., a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday, 30, 2016 at the age of 84. Ronald worked for Port Authority of NY & NJ for 37 years as an electrical supervisor in the Semac division.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War, and he enjoyed being a long-time board member for Crandon Lakes Country Club in Sussex County. He also spent many years as a Board member at the Polish American Home in Bayonne.

Ronald is predeceased by his wife Helene (nee Janaski) and son Kenneth. He is survived by children, Ronald & his wife Linda, and Mark; grandchildren, Marc, Karen, and Michael; and brother-in-law, Edward Janaski.

Visitation will be at Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, N.J. on Tuesday, July 5th from 2-4 pm and again from 6-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 6th at 9:00 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 Funeral Mass at Pope John Paul II Parrish in Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.

In lieu of flowers the family as requested donations be made in Ronald’s memory to SCARC, Inc. (Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities) located at 11 US Route 206, Suite 100 in Augusta, N.J. 07822.
