Kenneth Warren Snapp, 50, of Rutherford, NJ
passed away on Wednesday (12/28/16) after a valiant
						8-year struggle against ALS.

Ken was born in Huntington, NY to the late Warren Snapp
(2016) and Christena (nee Allen) Snapp (2007). He
graduated from Rutgers University, earning his Bachelor
of Science in Civil Engineering (1988) and Master of
Science in City & Regional Planning (1991). Ken worked
as an Urban Planner & Engineer for the Port Authority of
NY/NJ and was a Leadership APTA inductee. Ken served on
the Rutherford Planning Board, Rutherford Economic
Development Committee, and the Williams Center for the
Arts Board. An avid rower and cyclist, he was a member
of the Carnegie Lake Rowing Assoc., Nereid Boat Club,
and helped found the Passaic River Rowing Association.
Ken loved Rutgers football; he also coached Rutherford
						F. C. Youth Soccer and Little League Baseball. Kenneth
Snapp was a kind, brave, resourceful man, and a creative
engineer, as handy with carpentry as with envisioning
						new transportation solutions.

Above all, Ken was a tender loving husband, an exemplary
father, a loving son and sibling, and a good friend to
those lucky enough to have known him. Ken leaves behind
his devoted wife, Sara Sundell, his sons, Henry and
Jacob and his siblings, Brian Snapp and Christine Bakos.
He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws, including Joel
						and Caroline Sundell.

The family will receive friends on Saturday (12/31/16)
						from 1:00pm - 4:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home,
19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. A Memorial Service will be
held at 11:00 am on Monday (1/2/17) in the Rutherford
Congregational Church, 251 Union Ave., Rutherford.
