Another member of our Port Authority family has passed.
Our dear Liz Elizabeth Rodriguez Reyes - I'm sure Joe
Barrow was there to welcome her. Sleep with the angels
Lizzie - rest easy dear friend.
Elizabeth
Reyes, 51, of Keansburg, passed away on Monday, April
11th, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born
and raised in the Bronx, prior to moving to Keansburg
over 13 years ago. Elizabeth was a senior project
manager for Port Authority of NY/NJ for 33 years.
She
enjoyed gardening, dancing, and shopping for clothes and
shoes. She loved to travel and was always a hard worker.
Elizabeth was pre-deceased by her father William
Rodriguez.
Surviving
is her mother, Carmen Rodriguez of Bronx; her two sons,
Xavier Sanchez of Long Branch, Francisco Reyes of
Keansburg and her brother Omar Castro of Texas. Family
will be accepting friends on Friday 4:00pm - 8:00pm at
the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave.
Keansburg.
On
Saturday there will be a 10:15am Mass at St. Ann’s
Church, Keansburg. Cremation will be private. Letters of
condolences can be sent to

Her friends at the Port Authority were saddened to learn
of the passing of Elizabeth Reyes on Monday, April 11.
She is survived by her two sons, Xavier Sanchez and
Francisco Reyes.
Ms. Reyes joined the Port Authority on March 8, 1982. At
the time of her death, she held the position of
Information Technology System Support Specialist in the
Technology Department.
Friends and relatives will be received at Jacqueline M.
Ryan Funeral Home, 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, NJ, on
Friday, April 15, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday,
April 16, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. There will be a mass to
follow at St. Ann’s Church, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg,
NJ. Interment will be private.
