Martin Glenn Price

Obituary

Martin Glenn Price, age 85, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home.

Born in Easton, MD he was the son of the late Martin E. and Marguerite L. Baker Price. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. Price, and daughters, Nancy A. Simonds, Kim A. Price, Lori A. Price, and step-daughter Linda Bieber, step sons Michael Lane and his wife Debbie, and Mark Lane and his wife Jackie. There are five grandchildren, Jennifer, Laura, Christopher, Joseph, and Holly.

Marty had served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Shea. After retiring from the Port Authority Police, New York/New Jersey, he returned to the Eastern Shore. He was an active member of the American Legion where he served as Post Commander (3 times), District Commander, and most recently, a member of the Executive Committee for the Department of Maryland.

He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Past Forty and Eight Grand Chef de Gare of the Grand Voiture of Maryland, and the VFW.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the American Legion Post #166, 2308 Philadelphia Ave., beginning at 1:00 PM. A donation in his memory may be made to a Veterans charity of your choice.
