Obituary

Peter Leroy O’Brien, also known as “Pete” and “Roy”, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2016 in his beloved neighborhood of Bay Ridge Brooklyn.

Peter’s career, of more than 30 years, was with the Port Authority of NY & NJ. He was a member of The World Trade Center Operations Department until his retirement in 1993.

Peter served in the USMC. Peter is survived by 3 sisters; Patricia Bivins (Wilbert), Barbara Boyle (Gill) and Kathleen Pruess. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret McGarrigle (Edward). Peter is also a proud father of 4 children, Leroy (Lena), Joan (John), Margaret (John), and Patrick (Amy). Peter also had 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
