George D. Nuttycombe

Obituary

George D. Nuttycombe, 72, of Ridgewood, NJ passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016. Born in Morenci, AZ and raised in Chloride and Tucson, AZ, he resided in New York City prior to settling in Ridgewood 32 years ago. He earned a Bachelors Degree at the University of Arizona and was a veteran of the United States Army who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Ridgewood Baseball Association and was a coach for many years. George was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America serving as troop leader. An avid baseball fan of the New York Yankees, he enjoyed reading, music and gardening, but most importantly he will be remembered for his immense love for family and friends.

Prior to retiring, he was employed as an IT Professional with the Bank of America for 26 years.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (Furka) Nuttycombe. Loving and devoted father of Matthew Nuttycombe and wife Karen and Taylor Nuttycombe and wife Jessica. Cherished grandfather of Azalea Nuttycombe. Dear brother of Nick Nuttycombe and wife Anna and the late Louis and Ronald Nuttycombe. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial gathering on Sunday, May 7, 2016, 2-6 PM at the family’s residence. Arrangements are being handled by Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Fair Lawn, NJ 201-797-3500.
