Obituary

James E. McConnell, 58, of Middletown, NJ, died on October 22, 2016 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. He was born in Bloomfield, NJ to the late James E. and Cynthia McConnell. Jim graduated from Middletown High School North Class of 1977. James worked as a Tunnel and Bridge Agent for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 30 years. He was an avid bowler and a longtime member of Middletown Elks Lodge 2179.

Surviving are his two daughters, Heather McConnell and her fiancè, James Farquharson, who are to be married on November 5, 2016, and Kim McConnell; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Ellen McConnell; his sister, Cynthia McConnell; his brother, John McConnell; his girlfriend of 18 years, Kathleen Corridon and her two children Sean Corridon and Erin Corridon; and his two nieces, Kelly and Megan McConnell.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Cynthia McConnell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
