Obituary

My dad, RAYMOND MCCABE, passed away peacefully Friday, 4-8-16 at 2:10pm. My brother and I were with him when he passed. Raymond was 94 years old and had a sharp mind and strong will. Unfortunately his body gave out . When we arrived at the hospital on Friday, he was already in bad shape but he knew we were there and that was comforting to us.

The day before he was admitted to the hospital and my brother and I talked with him for several hours and he appeared to be normal. As we were leaving him later in the afternoon, his last words to us were "Thank You". Words that Den and I will never forget.

He served his country and the public as a Sergeant In WW 2. and a Lieutenant with the Port Authority. He served 28 years and retired in October, 1975. His dad was in the First PAPD class in 1927. He was honored and proud of his service.

There will be no viewing. A mass and repass will be held at a future date; all will be invited to attend.

Our family would like to thank everyone over these past few days for all of the care and loving support that you have given to us, it was truly moving.
With Gratitude,
The McCabe Family
