Obituary
Adolph (“Al”) S. Czebieniak, 89, of Easton, died
Sunday Sept. 4 after a short stay at the ManorCare
Nursing Facility, Easton.
Born Dec. 22, 1926 in Frackville, Schuylkill County,
Adolph was the fourth child and youngest son of the late
Andrew and Josephine Czebieniak. A graduate of
Frackville High School, Adolph served 19 months in the
US Army at the end of WW2 before attending Ford School
of Business (in Pottsville) on the G.I. Bill, and then
New York University, where he received a BS in
Accounting.
Adolph worked for the Port Authority of New York & New
Jersey for 37 years, and served as the chief accountant
during the construction of the original World Trade
Center (the “Twin Towers”).
Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; his eldest
brother Terry in 2007; and Ruth, his wife of 51 years,
in 2014. Surviving are two older brothers, Hank of
Frackville, and Walter of Warren, Michigan; three
younger sisters, Cecilia Kamieniecki, Jennie Stoltz, and
Florence Walton, all in Schuylkill County; two sons,
Andrew of Easton, and Daniel of New Cumberland; a
daughter, Lois Barberis, and her husband Anthony, of
Spotswood, NJ; a grandson, Anthony Barberis Jr.; and
several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday,
September 8, 2016 at
Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc.,
9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville, with Pastor Al
Sones of Good News Church, Mechanicsburg, officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00am to 11:00am at the funeral
home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, West
Mahanoy Township.
