						Salvatore C. Caporaso, 86, of Oldsmar, FL passed 
						away on Sunday, December 11, 2016. 
						
						
						
						Born and raised in Staten Island, he settled in Florida 
						in 1986. Salvatore was a graduate of New Dorp High 
						School and was a police officer for the Port Authority 
						of NY & NJ for 20 years until his retirement in the late 
						1970's. He served his country proudly in the United 
						States Navy during the Korean War. Salvatore enjoyed 
						playing golf, semi-pro baseball, and rooting for the New 
						York Giants and Yankees. He was a member of the American 
						Legion, Knights of Columbus and PBA.
						
						He was predeceased by his first wife, Nancy in 1959; 
						second wife, Veronica in 1986; third wife, Francesca in 
						2014; and siblings, Pauline D'Andrea, Angelina Caterina, 
						Josephine Caporaso, Theresa Cenci and Anthony Caporaso. 
						Salvatore is survived by his daughter, Carol Milazzo and 
						her husband, Michael of Freehold Township; his son, 
						Philip Caporaso of Oldsmar, FL; three grandchildren, 
						Joelle Caporaso, Ashley Milazzo and Philip Caporaso; one 
						great-grandchild, Anthony; and a sister, Adeline Cenci 
						and her husband, Emil of Marlboro.
						
						Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral 
						Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold 
						Township on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 
						PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the 
						funeral home on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 9:00 AM for 
						the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. 
						Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, 
						Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Mary's 
						Cemetery, Staten Island.
