Obituary

It is with profound heartache that I must inform you that our beloved Jasper passed away from complications related to Leukemia yesterday, March 25 at 8:30 a.m. He fought long and hard since January 26, 2014.

Marjaneh and I are devastated but coping as best we can. We are being lavished with love and support from our South African family. We are in constant touch with our loved ones in the States who have been with us every step of the way. Trae, Justine and Tarryn are also coping at this most difficult time. Trae is finishing his Masters in Germany in May and Tarryn is scheduled to finish his PHd this year so this is an especially difficult time for them. Justine has just returned from a year living in Australia and is obviously heartbroken.

We are planning a memorial service here in South Africa and we will have a memorial this summer in the States: To honor the best husband, father, son, brother, friend, mentor, employer and colleague any of us could have ever had.
