In Memory of
Virginia Rice
November 9, 1938 - March 20, 2015
Obituary
Virginia Rice, loving and devoted wife, mother,
proud grandmother and loyal friend passed away
unexpectedly on Friday, March, 20th. Born in the Bronx,
Virginia was a New Yorker through and through. She fell
in love with a boy from the Bronx named Ed Rice. They
were happily married for 54 years.
Three children, two sons-in-law, a daughter in-law and
four beautiful grandchildren completed what was her most
precious possession in life…family. To her family,
Virginia was many things: lawyer, chef, cop (she was
really good at that one), nurse, counselor, confidant,
music lover, and psychic; above all, a fierce protector
of those she loved.
Virginia had a strong faith in God that she passed along
to her family. She loved to laugh and dance with her
husband. She found joy in the little things, and her
special touch and attention to detail is what made our
house a home. Virginia had an endless font of
forgiveness and a huge capacity to love. She made this
world a better place, and she will be dearly missed.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband Edward J.
Rice of Pawleys Island, SC, daughter Deborah and her
husband Kevin Bradley and their three children: Kevin
Jr., Sean and Madison of Fairfield, CT, daughter Mary
and her husband Kevin Regenhard and son Collin of Pearl
River, NY, and son Edward J. Rice, Jr. and his wife
Kristen of Blauvelt, NY.
