                        STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Dennis G. Logue, 87, of
Great Kills, a retired Port Authority police Sergeant,
security supervisor and Korean War veteran whose family
was his greatest joy, died Sunday at home.

Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, he graduated from Fort
Hamilton High School in 1947. He lived in his native
community until 1967, when he moved to Great Kills.

Mr. Logue briefly served as a seaman recruit in the U.S.
Navy, then served in the U.S. Army, seeing duty in Korea
during the war. He attained the rank of sergeant.

He earned an associate of arts degree from St. Peter's
                        College, Jersey City.

Mr. Logue was a sergeant in the Port Authority of New
York and New Jersey Police, and later was a security
supervisor for the New York Mets. He retired in 1982.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell
jokes and make people laugh, his family said. He also
was kindhearted, and cared about people's feelings.

Mr. Logue most enjoyed spending time with his family. He
was fond of his dog and cat, loved poetry, and liked to
reminisce about growing up in Brooklyn, sharing his
                        stories with family and friends.

He was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great
                        Kills.

His wife of 44 years, the former Helen M. Lynn, died in
                        2006.

                        Surviving are his son, Paul; his daughter, Beth Logue;
his sister, Isabelle (Patsy) Fusco, and two
                        grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Casey McCallum
Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass
