Obituary
A.T.
(Ann Thomas) Langford – Public Affairs Senior
Information Officer – A.T. Langford worked for the Port
Authority from 1977-1988, after which she moved to
London. Her PA career was spent primarily in the Public
Affairs Department, during which time she managed many
important Port Authority events and coordinated public
relations programs with other major NYC organizations to
promote the region and the PA.
She was the author of
“Why Men Marry,” published in 1995, developed seminars
for Women in Business and the NYPD, was active in the UK
Women’s Forum, and consulted on UK-USA public relations
projects. She was a member of the Daughters of the
British Empire, a philanthropic organization, and had
completed a manuscript for a new book not long before
her death.
A.T. had a wide circle of
friends and will be missed greatly by them and her
beloved godchildren. Her remains will be inurned during
a private ceremony at St. James’ Church.
