Raymond Walter Koss

Obituary

Bridgewater- Raymond W. Koss, 90, died peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2015. Son of the late John and beloved mother, Josephine Koss, Ray was born in Newark and lived most of his life in West Orange where he enjoyed his beautiful home and gardens.

Ray was a WWII US Army Veteran and three time Purple Heart recipient. He was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering. Ray was a fire protection engineer working for The Port Authority of NY and NJ for 37 years retiring in 1987.

He is predeceased by his six siblings and their spouses.

He is survived by his beloved great-niece, Janice Roberts of Whitehouse Station, and great-nephews, Edward Gitler of North Plainfield and Daniel Gitler of Middlesex and many great nieces and nephews of the Roberts, Gitler and Zadrozny families.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held 9AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.
