Obituary

Vasilios K Kapsis was born in Rhodes Greece on September 2, 1934. He moved to the United States with his family in 1969.  He worked for the Port Authority of New York / New Jersey (PATH) from 1969 - 1994 as a machine equipment repairman. 

He was a long time resident of Hudson County, New Jersey before retiring to Florida in 1994. He passed away on Friday Aug 21, 2015 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Vasilios was predeceased by his wife, Maria Kapsis. He was the beloved father of three sons, Konstantinos Kipsies and his wife Rebecca of Lindcroft, New Jersey, Nickolaos Kapsis and his wife Pamela of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, John Kapsis and his wife Carina of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. He was adored by his grandchildren Nickolaos, Vasilios, Sylvia, Joseph, and Vasilios and was also loved by his three great grandchildren Fred, Vasilios, and Nickolaos.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Sunday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 9am prior to the funeral mass at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
