Obituary
Died suddenly at home over Thanksgiving weekend. Family
and friends deeply mourn the loss of this visionary
leader, co-founder of The Transition Network, a national
organization for women over 50 - for which she received
an Ashoka Fellowship - and the Caring Collaborative.
Known for her numerous interests, sharp intelligence,
warmth, generosity, and pluck, she was formerly Director
of Contracting and Procurement for the Port Authority of
New York and New Jersey, and COO of the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission.
Survived by brothers Harvey and Fred, sister Suzanne,
and eight nieces and nephews. Contributions in her
memory may be made to the Children's Defense Fund and
Meals On Wheels. Memorial at later date.
