						Died suddenly at home over Thanksgiving weekend. Family 
						and friends deeply mourn the loss of this visionary 
						leader, co-founder of The Transition Network, a national 
						organization for women over 50 - for which she received 
						an Ashoka Fellowship - and the Caring Collaborative. 
						
						
						
						Known for her numerous interests, sharp intelligence, 
						warmth, generosity, and pluck, she was formerly Director 
						of Contracting and Procurement for the Port Authority of 
						New York and New Jersey, and COO of the Equal Employment 
						Opportunity Commission. 
						
						
						
						Survived by brothers Harvey and Fred, sister Suzanne, 
						and eight nieces and nephews. Contributions in her 
						memory may be made to the Children's Defense Fund and 
						Meals On Wheels. Memorial at later date.
