Obituary

Francis T. Brennan of Selbyville, Delaware, formerly of Jersey City and Wayne, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 2, 2015 at the age of 80.

The son of Thomas and Susan (nee Dillon) Brennan was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on November 21, 1934.

On June 9, 1956, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Nancy (nee Jencarelli) and they were blessed with six adoring daughters.

He graduated summa cum laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Frank was a member of the Port Authority Police Department from 1959 until 1994. Throughout his 35 year career, he rose to the rank of Deputy Inspector.

He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy (“Tippy”), his loving daughters Gloria Gerlach (Ronald), Anne Marie Constantinople (Francis), Kelly Messineo (Robert), Nancy Porter (Brian), Frances DeFillippo (Mark), Tara (Eric), and Kerri; three cherished grandchildren, Erin and Brian Patrick Porter and Frankie DeFillippo; niece, Janice Corrado ;nephew Jimmy Jencarelli and cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Friday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.  All are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 8:30am prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Church North Arlington at 10:00am Interment follows at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
