Obituary
Dale Serventi, 56, passed away at her home on December
29, 2014 after a four year battle with pancreatic
cancer.
She is survived by her partner of 32 years, Denise
Zitani, of Cliffside Park, N.J., her sister, Linda (Serventi)
Edwards, her niece, Cheryl Edwards, her nephew, Jason
Edwards, of North Bergen, N.J., god- children Mia
Isabella Gaydos and Jon Marco Gaydos, of Brick, N.J., as
well as cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Alma (nee Nervi) and
Edward Serventi. Dale was a graduate of Emerson High
School, Union City, N.J. and NJIT, Newark, NJ where she
earned her BS in Architecture.
She was a licensed Architect in both NY and NJ. For the
past 14 years Dale was employed with the Port Authority
of NY and NJ. Her last position held was as the "first
female" Assistant Chief Architect in the Engineering &
Design Department.
Dale was a member of the American Institute of
Architects, National Council of Architectural
Registration, National Trust for Historical
Preservation, and Leadership in Energy and Design (LEED).
When not working Dale could be found on the golf course.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations

Funeral Service to be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral
Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on
Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10 AM. Interment to follow
at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visiting
hours on Friday, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Her friends at the Port Authority were saddened to learn
of the passing of Dale Serventi on Monday, December 29,
2014.
Ms. Serventi joined the Port Authority on September 18,
2000. At the time of her death, she held the position of
Assistant Chief Architect in the Engineering Department.
Friends will be received at McCorry Brothers Funeral
Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ on Friday,
January 2, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00p.m.
to 9:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3
departing from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.
