Obituary
Albert Paul Miller, Jr., (76), of Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania passed away on December 6, 2014 at 1:50 pm
at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in the town of
Hershey, Pennsylvania after an extended ICU stay.
A closed - intimate family viewing will precede formal
services that will be held on Wednesday, December 10,
2014 at 11am at St. Andrews in the Valley Episcopal
Church, 4620 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,
17112.
Albert Jr. was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to
Albert, Sr. and Eleanor Miller on 30 March 1938. He went
to William Penn High School and was a graduate of
Adelphi University. He was a state employee of the Port
Authority of NY & NJ for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He
married Janet Miller on 12 Nov 2008 in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania.
He passionately loved trains, cars, ballroom dancing and
his family. In his later years he gained new purpose and
meaning in his Vestry roles as Junior Warden, Usher, and
Reader at St. Andrews in the Valley Episcopal church.
Albert is preceded in death by his father Albert Sr.,
mother Eleanor, and second wife, Judith. As the family
patriarch, Albert is survived by his loving wife Janet,
son's William, Michael, Mark, Sean and Nicholas,
daughter Lori, sister Rita, Grandchildren Taylor,
Christopher, Bethany, Elijah, Heather, Michelle, Jessica
and Eric, great grandchild Abigail, devoted niblings
(whom he considered to be his own children) Douglas,
Judy, and Eleanor and great niblings George and Ray.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations would
otherwise go to St. Andrews in the Valley Episcopal
Church, 4620 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,
17112.
The family of Albert wishes to extend their sincere
gratitude to the Neurosurgery team at Penn State Hershey
Medical Center and the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania
for their extraordinary care and devotion to both Albert
and his family.
