
						Obituary
						 
						
MARRINAN, John Joseph, age 72, of Wyckoff died on 
						Friday, February 21, 2014 at the NJ Fireman’s Home in 
						Boonton, surrounded by his family. Born in New York City 
						he was a lifelong resident of Wyckoff. John served in 
						the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
						John worked for the Port Authority of New York and New 
						Jersey as a Communications Maintenance Supervisor for 
						many years before retiring. 
						
						He was a member of the 
						Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department for 45 years, where he 
						served as a Lieutenant, Secretary of the Department, and 
						was active with the communications desk. John was a 
						member of the Schirra Composite Squadron, Civil Air 
						Patrol. He was also an avid model train collector, 
						enthusiast and a member of the Train Collectors 
						Association. 
						
						John is survived by his 
						wife Stephanie Marrinan; his children: Jennifer Marrinan 
						of San Diego, CA, Joseph Marrinan of Monrovia, CA, and 
						Michael Marrinan of Ashburn, VA; his siblings: Mary 
						Rynne, Kevin Marrinan, Clare Youngs, Patrick Marrinan 
						and Eileen Marrinan; and many nieces and nephews. He was 
						predeceased by his brother Joseph Marrinan.
						Visitation will be held 
						on Monday, February 24, 2014, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9PM at 
						Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., 
						Wyckoff. A Fireman’s service will begin at 7:30PM.
						
						
						The funeral mass will be 
						Tuesday, February 25, 10:00AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 
						700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. The interment will follow at 
						Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.

						contributions in John’s memory may be made to the
