Norbert 
                        M. Ludewig, 54, passed away on Sunday June 22nd , 2014 
                        at his home in Fanwood, New Jersey surrounded by his 
                        loving family.
                        
                        A resident of Fanwood for 20 years, Norbert was born in 
                        Staten Island and graduated from Regis School in New 
                        York City and Cooper Union with a degree in civil 
                        engineering.  
						
						
						
						He worked for the Port Authority of NY/NJ for 30 years. 
                        He began the Norbert Ludewig Orchestra 35 years ago, and 
                        was very well-known in the German community from 
                        Delaware to Massachusetts for his Strauss Waltz Music. 
                        He was accomplished on the accordion and also as a 
                        vocalist.  
						
						
						
						Norbert was a member of the Deutsche Club in Clark and 
                        All Saints' Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains.
                        
                        Norbert is survived by his loving wife, Patricia 
                        Gallagher Ludewig; his mother, Renate Ludewig; his son, 
                        Andrew Ludewig; his brother, Peter Ludewig and his wife, 
                        Rocio, and their sons Christopher and Alex; his sister, 
                        Monika Bradley and her husband Dr. Joseph Bradley. He is 
                        also survived by his stepchildren Anthony and Michel 
                        Cunningham; Joseph and Allison Cunningham; Kellyann 
                        Cunningham and Christopher Strojny; Patrick Cunningham 
                        and Jamie Epps; his sister-in-law Kathleen Reilly and 
                        her husband, William and their daughter, Kristen.
                        
                        Visitation will be at
                        
                        Memorial Funeral Home, 
                        155 South Avenue, Fanwood on Wednesday, June 25th from 4 
                        to 8 pm. Funeral services will be at All Saints' 
                        Episcopal Church, 559 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, on 
                        Thursday, June 26th at 11 am. Interment will follow at 
                        Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
