ISLAND, N.Y. --
Patrick Lizotte, 69, of
Elm Park, a retired SEMAC structural mechanic and a
loving family man, died Monday in Staten Island
University Hospital, in Ocean Breeze.
Born in New Brunswick,
Canada, he moved with his parents to Queens when he was
12 years old and graduated from high school there. He
moved to Brooklyn in 1966 and settled in Elm Park in
1971.
Mr. Lizotte earned a
bachelor's degree from a college in Long Island and an
associate's degree from a business school in Queens.
He was a structural
mechanic for 39 years for the SEMAC team of the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey, based in Jersey
City. He retired in 2009.
Mr. Lizotte enjoyed
reading, working crossword puzzles and carpentry.
He was a parishioner of
St. Adalbert's R.C. Church, Elm Park.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, the
former Carole Chiarello; his sons, Frankie, Chris, and
Paul; his daughter, Kim Raschella, and seven
grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the
Meislohn-Silvie Funeral Home,
Port Richmond, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert's
Church. Arrangements include cremation.
