Joseph A. Giuffrida (1923 - 2014)
Born in West New York, NJ he resided in Belmar for 31 years before moving to Manchester in 2005. He served in the army during WW II from 1943-1945. He was a lifetime member of both the VFW in Leisure Knoll and Fort Lee Post # 2342 and an active member of the Italian American Club of Leisure Knoll. He is predeceased by his son, Anthony Joseph in 1992. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Marie Giuffrida, and granddaughter Anjelica Giuffrida. Visitation is Friday 3/28/2014 - 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Saturday 10 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with entombment to follow at St Catharine's Cemetery, Wall Twp. 91 of Manchester died Monday March 24, 2014 at home.
He worked for the Port Authority of NY/NJ as an
Inventory Manager for 31 years before retiring in 1985.
