Obituary

James DeVito of Suffern, NY and formerly of Levittown, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. James was born November 13, 1954 in Bronx, NY to Joseph and Dorothy DeVito.

He graduated from Levittown Memorial High School and later attended the Culinary Institute of America. He subsequently was employed by the Sudexo Company for four years. He was married to Wilma DeVito who predeceased him February 22, 2014 after an eight month battle with cancer.

James is survived by his parents and brother, Joseph DeVito, Jr.. He will be greatly missed by his three adult stepchildren Michael, Pedro and Jessie Hernandez and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4-8pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday August 19, 2014 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern. Committal is Private.
