Francis Curran, 84, of the Brookfield section of White
Township, N.J., passed peacefully on Friday, Oct. 10,
2014, at home surrounded by his loving family.

to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at
MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick St., Belvidere,
N.J.
A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct.
15, 2014, at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich St.,
Belvidere, N.J. Interment to follow in St. Patrick
Cemetery.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y.,
on Dec. 30, 1929, Joseph was the son of the late Frank
J. and Marie McGraph Curran. He was a retired police
lieutenant of the Port Authority of New York and New
Jersey.
Surviving are his beloved
wife of 55 years, Margaret Mary (Carr); nine children,
Brigid Mekita and husband, Mike, of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.,
Joe Curran and wife, Lisa, of Jefferson, N.J., Tricia
Nikiel and husband, Bob, of Parsippany, N.J., Chris
Curran and wife, Barbara, of Lebanon, N.J., Michael
Curran and wife, Lisa, of Denville, N.J., Moira Douglas
and husband, Scott, of Stillwater, N.J., Tara Maluszczak
and husband, Ed, of Rockaway, N.J., Paul Curran and
wife, Lisa, of Berkeley Heights, N.J., Kevin Curran and
wife, Laura, of Denville; 26 grandchildren, Meghan,
Caitlin, and Matthew Mekita, Andrew Curran, Brian and
Kevin Nikiel, Grace and Michael Curran, Ryan, Julia and
Jenna Curran, Connor, Maureen, Erin and Tara Douglas,
Alana, Ian and Evan Maluszczak, Brendan, Liam, Kate and
Amelia Curran, Finn and Teagan Curran; sister, Regina
VanSycle; sisters and brothers in-law, and many nieces
and nephews.
