John J. Collura February 19, 1947 - June 26, 2014 Obituary Long-time resident of Rockland County, NY, John J. Collura died on June 26, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital of unexpected complications related to Cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY February 19, 1947 to John and Carmella Collura, he is survived by his wife Mary Rose Collura, son John Collura, daughter Lori Collura, son-in-law Christophe Verhaegen, and 7 grandchildren Riley, Kyle, Cassandra, Emma, Tyler, Ella, and John Lucas. John was a dedicated family man and an accomplished businessman. He began his career with the Port Authority of NY /NJ when he was 23 years old. After 25 years working his way up the ranks he left as Director of Finance and COO. He held several CFO positions with major health care companies and ultimately traded his final position as CFO of Continuum Health Partners in NY, NY for retirement with his family at the age of 67. He was a member of Government Finance of America and President of the National Association of Accountants. He also held the esteemed titles of "Coach" "Dad" and "Pop" in many of life's other important activities. John's kindness and generosity were an inspiration to all who knew him. He lived his life with integrity, optimism, and an invigorating laugh.

John on Sunday, June 29, at the Wanamaker and Carlough
Funeral home in Suffern, NY from
2:00pm - 4:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral mass is
Monday, June 30 at 11:00am in Sacred Heart Church,
