STATEN 
						ISLAND, N.Y. -- Marguerite (Peg) M. Carmody, 66, of 
						West Brighton, a special events coordinator, and devoted 
						cousin, died Friday, in Staten Island University 
						Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
						
						Ms. Carmody was born in 
						Sunnyside and lived in West Brighton. She graduated from 
						St. Peter’s High School for Girls.
						
						She entered the work 
						force as a secretary for Marine Midland Bank in 
						Manhattan. Switching careers, she later worked as a 
						special events coordinator in the Manhattan office of 
						the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for about 30 
						years. She retired in 2000.
						
						Ms. Carmody was proud of 
						her Irish roots. She was an animal lover who had two 
						dogs of her own. She also liked to garden and watch the 
						N.Y. Yankees play on television.
						
						“She was not only my 
						cousin, but my very good friend,” said her cousin 
						Kathleen Mortimer.
						She was a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament R.C. 
						Church, West Brighton.

						The funeral will be 
						Tuesday from the Harmon Home for Funerals, West 
						Brighton, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament 
						Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West 
						Brighton.
