October 10, 2014 Obituary BLACK Edward, age 82, of Monroe Township, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully on, October 10, 2014. Edward was a proud Veteran who served his country during the Korean War. Until his retirement, Edward was a civil engineer for the New York Port Authority. Beloved wife to Jane (nee Tompkin), cherished father to Maryjean Scerra and her husband Thomas, Patty Jones and her husband Walter, Eddie Black and his wife Diana, Susan Black, Catherine Jacob and her husband Lou, Billy Black and his wife Gabriella, and Regina Black and her partner Kathy Griffin, loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren, devoted brother to Cathy Black, Ann Hickey, Bill Black, predeceased by Jimmy Black. Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home 59 Main Street Ridgefield Park on Monday at 9:00am. Funeral Mass 10:00am at Saint Francis RC Church. Private Cremation. Family will receive friends and family at the Funeral Home Sunday 2-6pm.
