Bernard Kingston dies at 83

Montvale - Bernard (Bernie) Kingston, 83, of Montvale, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9.

He was born and raised in Jersey City, and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He went on to graduate from Seton Hall University, and spent most of his career working for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He is survived by Anne, his beloved wife of 56 years; devoted daughters Sharon and her husband Stan; Maureen and her husband Jeff; and Barbara and her husband Paul; and cherished grandchildren Amanda, Andrew, Daniel, Matthew and Sean.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Park Ridge, on Friday, Dec. 13 at 11:15 a.m. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 25 Seminary Road, Mahwah.
