In Memoriam

Back

Gil was born September 14, 1932.  He lived most of his childhood in Japan as an Army brat where he was known for his practical jokes.  He joined the Air Force and served during the Korean War and after an honorable discharge he joined the Port Authority Police serving most of his years as a Police Lieutenant for 38 years at the GWB.

He loved to laugh and was well known for his cartoons. He retired to Lake Saint Catherine in Vermont with his wife of 15 years Kathy.  He loved boating on the lake with his son Mike and wife Jan, his daughter Doreen and son in law Charlie and his granddaughters Emily and Kathy.

He was a member of the Lake Association and worked with the State Police on the lake videotaping speeders. He proudly wore his Port Authority Police hat every day of his retirement.  He used his artistic talents drawing logos for many an area business and his cartoons to bring laughter to lighten a heavy heart.

Rest in peace Gil.............Love Kathy
