In Memory of Thomas "Dan" Powers

Thomas “Dan” Powers, 78, a long time resident of Rutherford for over 40 years, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2012.

Thomas proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 109, Rutherford and The AMVETS, Delaware.  What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was fishing and boating.

He was an Electrician for 25 years with PANY & NJ/ Path, retiring in 1998. Formerly, he worked for PSE&G, Secaucus, for 20 years.

Thomas is predeceased by his wife Lillian nee Cullen (2010). He is survived by his loving children, Daniel Powers and his wife Judith, Eileen and her husband James Witterschein, Patricia and her husband Douglas Glaeser, his grandchildren, Reisetta Dunn, Katelyn Powers, Amy Witterchein, Meghan Powers, Andrew Witterchein and his great grandchildren Christopher and Conner Dunn. He was the dear brother of Maureen Kolinsky.

Funeral: Friday,10:45AM Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford. Please arrive in the Funeral Home 9:45AM

Visiting hours: Thursday July 5th, 2:00- 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.  Private Cremation
