Anneliese Kristin McCain, 20, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Cary, NC, died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 22, 2012.  Anneliese was born November 25, 1991 in Flushing, NY.

 

She was a graduate of Green Hope High School in Cary and was attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she was studying public health. Anneliese was a member of the AKA Sorority.

She is survived by her mother, Malinda Castro Carpenter and her husband, Herb of Cary; father, Everett McCain and his wife, Melanie of West Babylon, NY; grandmothers, Elizabeth Ramos of Staten Island, NY; and Sharon Carpenter of Newport News, VA; step-sister, Emily Carpenter of Roanoke, VA; step-brothers, Jeremy Carpenter of Las Vegas; and Keith Austin of Brentwood, NY; aunt, Anna Maria Perez and her husband, Carmelo; uncles, Alvin McCain and his wife, Helen; Steven McCain and his wife, Jacqueline; and Franklin McCain; and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. Burial will follow the service at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
