Dear Loving Friends and Family,
Richard passed away peacefully at 3:05 this morning at North Shore Hospital. He did not suffer at the end and Ross Steven and I were with him.  The services will be on Sunday at 12:00 at Gutterman's Funeral Home on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury.

My family and I have been overwhelmed by the tributes and expressions of condolence you have sent in recognition of our beloved Richard.  Many of you have written of his dedication and thoroughness with regard to his work for PARA.  Let me assure you that he reaped many benefits of collegial companionship and friendship.

We are especially gratified by your generous contribution to Lustgarten with hopes of finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.  There could be no finer memorial.
